New Senior Wellness Center
In 2011, construction gets underway on a new Senior Wellness Center in the old health center building at North Park Village. This Center, the first of its kind in Chicago, will emphasize building a healthy, active lifestyle, which will ultimately reduce the need for medical treatment.

Independence Park Green Bungalow
The old bungalow in Independence Park, one of the jewels of the neighborhood, is being completely rehabbed. It will serve as a community gathering place as never before. The renovation combines sensitivity to the building's architectural heritage with twenty-first century green technology. New Gompers Park Playground
